Lake Forest Park Water District completes new pumping facility

Lake Forest Park Water District has barely 1,000 customers but it is one of a handful of public water systems in the Seattle area that still get water from deep wells and without chemical treatment. It’s also one of a select few to hold the title “Best Tasting Water in King County”.

On July 24 we celebrated a big milestone with an open house and ribbon cutting event for the new McKinnon Creek Pumphouse where the District has sourced water since 1908. Hon. Mayor Tom French cut the ribbon and we were also honored to have in attendance Judi Gladstone the Executive Director of WASWD along with officials from Dept. of Commerce – PWTF along with many other industry professionals and even local neighbors who stopped by to enjoy the party and tour the pumphouse.
