Water System Update – Roundabout Construction

The Ballinger Way NE Roundabout construction has required the District to temporarily change how water flows through portions of our distribution system. These changes have resulted in more discolored water than anticipated in some areas.

Water quality samples collected from representative locations have all been negative for bacteriological contamination. The District is also working with the Washington State Department of Health, Office of Drinking Water, and continues to monitor conditions and flush water mains as needed.

If you experience discolored water, run cold water from a bathtub, outside faucet, or other high-flow fixture for 5–10 minutes. If the discoloration persists, contact the District at 206-365-3211 or office@lfpwd.org.
